About Joey Sbarro

Joey Sbarro graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York, New York in 2008 with his BFA in Photography. After three years he returned to SVA to continue his education and obtain his MFA in Photography, Video, and Related Media, completing the program in 2013. He currently lives and produces work in Jersey City, NJ.

He is the recipient of the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation Award and the Alice Beck Odette Scholarship and his photographs have been exhibited in shows such as the SVA Mentor Show 2008, Identity/Identities at Aperture Gallery 2009, Mystic Visions in Long Island City, and the 2013 SVA Photography, Video, and Related Media Thesis Show.
